Good Michelle! So is Parental Involvement the theoretical framework for your study? I'm not sure I see the relevance there given your topic. Sure parental involvement is important for student achievement, but your study is focusing specifically on the teacher/administrator and teacher/student relationship. Parental involvement could be a component, but not the framework; maybe you just hadn't added the framework in yet? OR is parental involvement a 3rd dimension/subtopic? If so, this is fine; just don't forget to add your theoretical framework in there too. I also think teacher burnout and satisfaction are important aspects too on the left side, but could be lumped under teacher retention. For the student/teacher relationship, you discuss retention on the other side, but then training on the right side; not sure training would be the main heading here. Self efficacy of teacher and student might be important elements for the right side. What other factors affect the teacher student relationship? These are the things that should be included under your subtopics.
The journal article I found on teacher training was a study that proved that teacher student relationships effects test scores. I think parental involvement is another component and not the framework. Other factors that effect that relationship could be reputations of students and/or teachers.
Great map, Michelle! Looks like you have things mapped out (no pun intended) in your mind now where things are going. Have fun with it too, I've started to learn so much! It gets exciting!
